I love outdoor concerts and this one with The Nadas and the Beach Boys was one of the best. Pretty good for a small Iowa town!

Upgrading my home computer from Vista to Windows 7 went well but took a LONG time. I don't see a huge difference. It seems more solid, the UI has improved, and I'm finding some useful new features. The Windows 7 firewall and backup/restore have solid improvements over Vista.

I have this strange habit of reading books on project management. "Fast Projects: Project Management When Time is Short" by Fergus O'Connell was a quick and enjoyable afternoon read. I'd also read his book "The Silver Bullet" years ago which covered essentially the same material. The new book covers the essential information much more quickly and concisely. To me, the essential point is that good project managment is not difficult or mysterious, but mainly a matter of honesty, common sense, attention to detail, and a few best practices.
